Tune of Wednesday and Thursday - Flash a Hungry Smile & K.U.S.H.

Quick post, and seeing it's 5 past 12, I can post yesterdays and todays tunes.

First up is a free download from the Mystery Jets, new song called Flash a Hungry Smile, just great as always. It's available on their website now.

Second is a song of Cypress Hill's new album called K.U.S.H., old school from the Hill and makes you want to spark up a fatty.

Track of the Day - Turn Up (The Music)

By no means, no but still a heavy tune. Being released on Sick Music 2 from Hospital Records which is released on the 26th and promises to be a stunning compilation.

Best listened to with a sub woofer, really helps you appreciate it. Really love this style of minimalistic drum and bass.

Track of the Day - Airplanes

The track of the day is the new leak from B.O.B.'s new album featuring none other than Hayley from Paramore. The track's called Airplanes, and it's sure to be a hit. I personally think Hayley's voice works really well on this, even though it does on most songs the bands done.

Example - Kickstarts

Finally heard the original version of Kickstarts and I've gotta be honest, loving it already, first play kinda flew by me, but then the second and I was hooked.

Great work on production by Sub Focus and Example keeps tight on the lyrics as always. The short phone interview with Example after the premiere pretty much sums up my feelings.

"wanted the hands in the air moment", "something MGMT but with a bonkers feel to it"...

Sub Focus - Splash (Rusko Remix)

Quick post, new Sub Focus tune remixed by Rusko therefore you have high expectations, and yes they're definitely met..

Example - Kickstarts (Bar9 Remix)

Cracking remix by Bar 9 of Example's new tune Kickstarts, was played exclusively last night on Mistajam's show on 1Xtra and the original will be receiving it's world premiere on Zane Lowe's show tonight. The original mix is produced by Sub Focus which proves to be a great track and a great chance for Sub Focus to show even more versatility than he did on his self titled album.

Chiddy Bang

I first heard Chiddy Bang last year, when I was browsing hypem.com and came across the now hugely popular Kids, or now called The Opposite of Adults. I instantly liked the track, the production by Xaphoon Jones was quality and I knew it would be a great single, making the UK 20 before being basically unknown but received great airplay. Having a great chorus which leaves everyone singing out loud.

After hearing Kids I looked more into the combination that is Chiddy Bang and got hold of the mixtape the Swelly Express and gave it a couple with some outstanding tracks on there which show the pairs true potential. Standing out by a distance for me were Kids and Truth, featuring Passion Pit.

The new mixtape "Air Swell" dropped on the 8th of April and features 7 tracks. All a great show of Jones' great production skills and Chiddy's tight lyrics. My favourite most probably being the refix of Ellie Goulding's Under the Sheets, closely followed by Breakfast which features an old favourite Kate Nash of all people. Which on another note I would love to hear some new stuff buy.

Anyway heres the Under the Sheets fix for download and follow the other link for the mixtape.

What's New

First up is the hot new release from Nero, this pair really burst on the drum and bass/dubstep scene last year, with some awesome original productions like Act Like You Know, with both the drum and bass original and dubstep leaving people raving, and some incredible remixes, my favourite probably being their fix of Enter Shikari's Juggernauts.

On April 26th, on MTA records, they will release Innocence, a hard hitting dubstep number and Electron, another cracking drum and bass track.

Here is the video for Innocence, which featurs some simplistic manga and all kicks off on the drop. Awesome video.
